Mzuri Moyo Aimbaye is the internationally acclaimed singer, actress, and playwright behind the Fannie Lou Hamer Story. The one-woman play includes a dozen inspiring songs about the woman known as the “Mother of Voter Registration” for Black Americans.

The Fannie Lou Hamer Story is at the Lyric Theater this Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm. Tickets at lexingtonlyric.com.
