Lexington History Museum Collecting COVID-19 Stories, Memorabilia

Lexington History Museum

The Lexington History Museum is asking local residents to send them documentation of their lives in the COVID-19 era. WUKY’s Arlo Barnette reports.

In an age of historic social upheaval, historians want to make sure they capture the fullest breadth of the human story. That’s the goal of Foster Ockerman Junior, President and Chief Historian of the Lexington History Museum.

As part of the Lexington Pandemic History Project, Ockerman says they want personal narratives, photos, videos, or any other memento of the times.

With over 4,000 likes on the museum’s Facebook page, he hopes to get at least 4,000 submissions from the public.

Submissions can be emailed to info@LexHistory.org with the subject line “Virus.”
