After five years, The Breeder’s Cup is returning to Keeneland, and Lexington city officials are counting down the days until they welcome the world back to the Horse Capital. WUKY’s Arlo Barnette has details.
Mayor Linda Gorton held a press conference Friday announcing that for the second time ever, the Breeder’s Cup World Championship will be held in Lexington, on November 6th and 7th.
Gorton went on to unveil a countdown clock to the big event, saying that 80 other countdown clocks have been placed around the city.
In preparing to host international guests, Keeneland plans to invest 10-million dollars to improve chalets at the track.
Tickets go on sale at breederscup-dot-com this coming Monday the 9th at 9:00am.
