On Sunday afternoon, Linda Gorton was sworn in as Lexington's Mayor. Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council Members also took the oath of office. Today will be her first day in the Mayor's chair. Gorton said Former Mayor Jim Gray, who endorsed her for the position has helped her and her team with a smooth transition.
