Sen. Neal Elected To Board Of National Caucus

Senate Democratic Caucus Chairman Gerald Neal has been elected to the National Board of Directors of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.  Neal recently became the first black person elected to a leadership post in the Kentucky General Assembly. He has been a member of the Senate since 1989 and represents a Louisville district.

The National Black Caucus of State Legislators represents more than 650 lawmakers from 56 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Its mission is to offer training and other programs to enhance its members' effectiveness.

Neal was elected at-large to the board at the caucus's 38th annual legislative conference in Dallas.
