If navigating construction on Leestown Road has been a part of your daily commute; you’ll want to take note of an important change starting Thursday.
Since the spring crews have been working on a widening project to take the busy artery from two lanes to four. They’re about half way through so starting tomorrow, you’ll be able to drive across the new surface while crews block off and begin work on the other side.
You will however have to deal with a closure all day on Thursday. Alexandria Drive will be closed between Trailwood Lane and Leestown Road, while crews work to switch traffic. Drivers can take Trailwood Lane to White Oak Trace to avoid the closure which will last through 7 p.m.
