LEXINGTON, Ky. – Jack Conway says he has no regrets running a negative television ad against his Republican opponent for U.S. Senate. Conway defended the "Aqua Buddha" ad, which raised questions about Rand Paul's college activities and his position on faith-based initiatives.

"I think the people that have criticized it haven't really focused on the facts. And that is that when is it ever appropriate - if someone's 22 or 42 - to tie someone up and ask them to kneel down and worship a false idol? I don't think the women of Kentucky feel that's appropriate and I don't feel the people of faith in Kentucky feel his past actions are appropriate. Again I'm not questioning his faith, I'm questioning his actions."

Following a meeting at the American Legion in Lexington, Conway said Tuesday he didn't know how long the ad would continue to run, but says the typical broadcast cycle for campaign messages is about five to seven days.
