Cruisers Crammed! Annual KSP food drive breaks records

Kentucky State Police

More than 204,000 pounds of food was donated in this year’s “Cram the Cruiser” food drive.

First Lady Britainy Beshear and Governor Andy Beshear thanked the Kentucky State Police and those of you who stepped up to make sure no one goes hungry over the holidays.

“The amount of food collected shows how much love our people have for one another,” said Britainy Beshear. “We will always wrap our arms around those in need here in Kentucky and that is especially true during the Christmas season. No family in our state should go hungry. Ever.”

Governor Andy Beshear added, “Thank you to the Kentucky State Police for your incredible work and generosity, and thank you for the love that Kentuckians showed both to the Kentucky State Police and to each other in Cram the Cruiser."

The yearly initiative is hosted by all 16 KSP posts and all the items collected are distributed to families in need through local food banks across the state.
