Kentucky Women Top Texas A&M For Record-Setting Win

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- A'dia Mathies scored 23 points and No. 6 Kentucky overcame a sluggish first half to rally past No. 20 Texas A&M 65-62 for a record setting win on Thursday night.

Jennifer O'Neill added 15 points as the Wildcats (15-1, 3-0 SEC) extended school-record winning streaks of 14 games overall and 31 in a row at home.

Thompson Unlikely Hero In UK Women's Victory Over U Of L

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Janee Thompson scored all 13 of her points in the second half, including a 3-pointer with 8.4 seconds left, to lift No. 9 Kentucky to a 48-47 comeback victory over No. 6 Louisville Sunday night.

The freshman guard finished with 13 points and scored the final six for the Wildcats (6-1), who trailed by 14 points in the second half before rallying down the stretch behind tough defense that held Louisville without a field goal for the final 4:54.

Kentucky Women Humbled By Top-Ranked Baylor

WACO, Texas  -- Sixth-ranked Kentucky was never able to press the issue against defending national champion Baylor.

Brittney Griner and the No. 1 Lady Bears are just that good, and easily passed what was supposed to be their first real challenge with an overwhelming 85-51 victory Tuesday night.
