Robbery Suspect On The Lam Near I-75

Police are searching a wooded area off the interstate for a man who robbed the Ramada hotel on North Broadway. Lexington Police say the suspect went into the hotel around 1:00 Tuesday morning with a gun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded cash. He then ran to a Dollar General store nearby where he had parked a stolen truck for his getaway. The only problem was he locked himself out. He used the shotgun to break a window, threw the firearm inside then ran off into the woods. The suspect was wearing jeans and a dark hoodie. If you have any information please call Lexington police.
