New Contract Makes Mitchell Highest Paid Women's Coach In the SEC

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Kentucky now has the highest paid Women’s Basketball Coach in the Southeastern Conference, with the announced new contract for Matthew Mitchell.
The deal is reportedly worth some $7.95m over seven years and includes a $250,000 bonus if he stays at UK through the 2019 season.
The former Tennessee Assistant and Morehead State Coach guided the Wildcats to their first SEC regular season title in 30 years, and another Elite 8 finish in the NCAA Tournament.
