Bowling Green, KY – Kentucky's U.S. Senate race is viewed by many political observers as one of the most consequential in the nation. Republican incumbent Mitch McConnell is fending off a strong challenge from Democrat Bruce Lunsford. McConnell isn't just battling to hold on to his seat. He's trying to remain the Senate's highest-ranking Republican.
