Kentucky Bourbon Festival Turns 21
BARDSTOWN, Ky. - The Kentucky Bourbon Festival comes to Bardstown Tuesday. The event is expected to attract another record crowd this year.
The Kentucky Bourbon Festival has reached legal drinking age. Over the course of its 21 years, the event has grown into one the state’s leading community festivals. Attractions this year will include historical tours, hot air balloon displays, local music, and, of course, plenty of bourbon samples of Kentucky’s signature spirit. Linda Harrison, executive director of the festival, expects lots of foot traffic.
"Last year we had in attendance around 43-thousand people from 43 different states and 13 different countries. This year we have sold out almost all of our events and we're anticipating a much larger crowd," Harrison says.
The festival gets underway Tuesday and lasts through Sunday. More information is at kybourbonfestival.com.
