Exile, Kentucky Headhunters Among Nominees For Kentucky Music Hall of Fame
LEXINGTON, Ky. Chart-toppers Exile (“Kiss You All Over”, “Woke Up In Love”), and the Kentucky Headhunters (“Dumas Walker”, “Oh Lonesome Me”) are among the newest inductees into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame at Renfro Valley.
The full list of artists was announced Tuesday afternoon on WKYT TV.
The class of 2013 also includes 1960's recording artist Skeeter Davis, (“The End of the World”, “I Can’t Stay Mad At You”), and Contemporary Christian singer-songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman, (“Heaven in the Real World”, “The Great Adventure”).
Pioneer inductees include the 1950’s vocal group The Hilltoppers, (“P.S. I Love You”, “Till Then”), banjoist and comedian, Old Joe Clark, and fellow long-time Renfro Valley Barn Dance performers, Emory & Linda Martin.
Induction ceremonies are set for April 12, 2013.
