Legendary American guitar maker C.F. Martin is producing a special edition instrument
in honor of Click and Clack, a.k.a. Tom and Ray Magliozzi of public
radio's Car Talk. The company said the Magliozzi brothers were
recognized as being "... very capable bluegrass musicians."
The Car Talk edition guitar retails for $6,499... and comes with free brake pads. (OK, we made that last part up.) |

See performances from Adult Rock standbys Grace Potter, Vienna Teng, and Sarah Borges, and many more - live from the legendary studios where Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis launched a little thing called rock 'n' roll.

| Live and Local |
|
WUKY's disc jockeys are
live. That is, we are in the studio, playing CDs (sometimes
very loudly!), talking to you, and generally having a great
time. At many radio stations, the music is on a hard drive, and
the "canned" disc jockey lives several states away. Because we
live where we work, we know our local musicians, and the ones who
got their start here. We support them by playing their music, and we
let you know where you can see them play live. Below is a small
sampling of the local artists you hear on Adult Rock. You can
click on most to visit their websites.

kellyrichey.comLexington native and blues guitarist Kelly Richey reports from the road:If
it's Sunday morning (or the first thing I do when I get home from
touring), you will find me on the couch with coffee and clicker in
hand!!! Each week I record "Bill Moyers Journal" (PBS), "This Week with
George Stephanopoulos" (ABC), and "Meet The Press" (NBC).
I began watching Bill Moyers in 2003 when he hosted the PBS program "NOW." After a brief retirement he returned with a new program,
also on PBS, called "Bill Moyers Journal." If I had a penny for each
time I've said, "I'm going to write Bill Moyers a letter...", I could
easily pay the extra cost of gas today. A few weeks ago I finally wrote
Mr. Moyers a letter and included a copy of our new CD. Please
understand that Bill Moyers is my hero. As I watch his work each, week
I am reminded that there is hope that honesty has not been silenced,
hope that integrity is still worth standing up for, hope that justice
can be served by making people's stories heard. To my amazement, I
received a hand written response in the mail today from Mr. Moyers.
There is no single act that has ever brought me such joy as opening
this letter and reading the words he wrote me. This past weekend took
us from Canada to ND, onward to IA and eventually home...4 shows, 5
days, 4,200 miles....After many long road trips this summer and a very
long weekend of travel, coming home to find this letter made every mile
seem worth it!!!
This has been a great day!!!
At home in Ohio, Kelly Richey

This track digs deep into a dark groove, the kind of spooky electro-soul Beck has settled into as of late. Perfect for a long drive on a lonely country road.
